Founded in 2001, HELLIQ Society is one of the oldest High IQ Societies. The Society supports international membership and maintains strict admission policies. New members need to demonstrate an acceptable performance on a standardized and validated intelligence test.

The society name, HELLIQ, is a composite word derived from the Greek words Hellenic (Greek) and Helios (Sun).

The aim of the society is the exchange of ideas and activities on a highly intellectual level; it also includes providing simple solutions to complex problems within discussions and activities, in-part together with other high-IQ-societies.
